Well Done to all the children for fantastic singing in the Christmas Concert!This week is the first week of Term 2 and the children have settled quickly back into their classroom routines. We have welcomed four new children into blue class this term. Their names are Sajad, Mohammed Al, Mohammed A and Idris. The rest of the group have been very caring towards our new friends, always willing to help and lend a hand while they ‘find their feet’ in Reception. We have also welcomed a new support teacher; Mrs Ruckman!
This term our topic is ‘People Who Help Us’. The children will be involved in learning about people within their community who can help them for different emergencies, as well as those people within their more immediate surrounds who help keep them safe on a daily basis.
This week and next are parent-teacher meetings. I am looking forward to having time to sit with each child’s parent/s in order to discuss the progress they have made so far this school year.
